How about 30,716 miles on a 06? We just sold our car so we'll be putting more miles on the Rennie. We've been retired for 4 years now so going to work hasn't been cranking on the miles.

it does have rods...if it dont then wtf

Correct me if I am wrong, but I fail to see how an OHC engine has rods.

Ah, we may be speaking about two different things...it has connecting rods, not push rods.

The 3.7 is a SOHC engine,it has connecting rods where the term "throwing a rod" comes into play,actually all engines no matter what configuration has connecting rods that go from the crankshaft and piston.

SOHC = Single Overhead Cam
DOHC = Dual Overhead Cam
OHV = Overhead Valve-uses pushrods,can in the block.

May I ask, is it a chain or belt? one or two?
The 3.7 uses 3 timing chains,1 each for each camshaft(total of 2) and one chain that goes to a counter balance shaft(located in the conventional OHV cam location).

Oh and the oil pump is located on the crankshaft right behind the timing chain gear,driven directly by the crankshaft.
