I need to pick up some tree savers, snatch blocks, shackles, winch line extension, etc. as I have a couple interesting tree re-erections I need to attempt. figure I would also use this as an opportunity to get some (possibly?) decent gear. so where does everyone buy their gear from?

I was about to buy a pair of these Rugged Ridge kits...

but figured I should ask the "smart" people first where they get their stuff from.

Thanks! :smokin:

I got a bunch of stuff through Farm & Fleet or other Farm Surplus stores. Recovery straps and hi-lift were least expensive there, but yet still quality stuff.

well, I ordered that stuff from CSE. at the very least I got it stupid fast! :D
the shackles feel beefy. the snatch blocks feel solid. the straps feel like good quality. I guess we'll see tomorrow when I try and upright a couple trees. I'll try and remember to take pictures.

well, at the very least the CSE/Rugged Ridge stuff worked for the project I needed it for right now. :D

certainly was cheaper than getting one of the landscape guys to come out and do it... if I could have even gotten one. most are still busy doing downed tree removal around here.
