What's a good alternative to 265/7516 tire size? Maybe something a little skinnier an

Or 235/85, but that's reasonably tall. I remember someone putting a LT 235/85 on their KJ a few years back.

I am currently running 235/75's right now, just slightly larger than the optional 235/70's my KJ came with. 245/75's going on tonight :)

235-85-16s work with 4 inches of lift and 4.10s
otherwise stick to 245-75-16s

since you don't have listed what year/lift or anything about your ride its hard to say

Sorry bout that Tom... 02 Kj sport , just over 3" of lift, I run 265 75 16s just fine... Was just curious about a skinnier tire... While I'm at it I might as well ask... Is there anything special I need to know if I wanted to go down to a 15" rim?? Will it clear the brakes and such?

Just fine so I assume you have regeared then
going to 15s only aftermarket steels work , anything else will rub the calipers in front
same sizes 15X7 4 inches backspacing

70s/80s Dodge 1/2-ton 15" steel wheels (small bolt pattern) work too. Running then right now with some more rain-freindly tires.

235/85R16 and 265/75R16 are very close to same height, but 30mm narrower.
