well it was looking SO good.
minivan is "fixed."
got the jeep all fixed as well, even found the ABS wires were crushed, insulation wore off, and the wires touching. thought it was all good and no more dash emojis. that lasted about 5 miles when the RR speed sensor went out again. going back under it this morning and going through the harness AGAIN, to see if there's more damage.

wasn't the harness.
so in my diagnosis, I swapped the sensors left to right, to make sure the problem didn't follow the sensor. it didn't. then i found the wiring problem and fixed it.
in the process of doing that, a little voice in my head was saying "that sensor isn't sitting 100% right. it's like *just* a touch off isn't it?"
I ignored that little voice, which was stupid.
the sensor was rubbing the tone ring, but not so much that you could hear it.
in fact, both sensors have made contact with the tone ring at various points.
so it wore through it enough that it quit.
when I took it out and compared it to the brand new OE one (NTK box, but the part numbers on the part are chrysler) I could see the little "wings" on the sides had been... massaged... over time to make them sit better in the hole.
guess it was a good thing I ordered a new sensor when I bought all the other crap recently.
you could feel it rubbing against the tone ring until I nipped the tips off the wings.

*BUT*... the jeep is now emoji free once again.

then I decided to replace the passenger rear window regulator in the wife's sebring. been broken for months.
new one works great. install was pretty straight forward.
except, when I pulled the door card, the wiring to the window switch must have gotten caught, and it ripped the switch apart.
just ordered 3 from ebay. $23.24 total. same switch in 3 of the 4 doors, so you know if I only order one it'll happen again.

Today on my 2005 KJ…

1) I rolled back the sunroof,
2) DISCONNECTED the battery ground wire,
3) released the wind deflector limit straps and folded the deflector rearwards
4) removed the drivers side kick panel and rolled up the carpet and foam and stuffed the carpet and foam behind the brake pedal,
5) used a 90° plastic pry bar to pull the large white wiring harness off its TWO mounting clips,
6) reached ABOVE the wire harness and BEHIND the hood release cable and
7) FINALLY pulled out the grommet, STILL with the sunroof drain tube attached, from the kick/fender well.

Once the grommet with the drain tube was removed, I carefully turned and pulled both as far as I could into the cab (only a couple inches), and then cut a piece of .130" x 6' trimmer line.
The .130" string line was EASY to push through the entire drain tube.
Put everything back together and am HOPING that his will solve my wet carpet after rain issues…

YAY …this worked!!!

I left Giddyup outside the barn and we got 4" of rain in the last 24 hours ... DS carpet under mat is not even damp!!!

Heres a good pic of the .130" trimmer line running all the way from the fender well/grommet end of the drain tube and popping out the drain at the front corner of the sunroof.

ALSO a clearer image of the grommet and drain tube removed from the inside of the fender well.

BTW LDP was indeed my problem, replaced the gas cap too just because it's 20 years old, and when I unplugged the old one the LDP side ripped out and the terminals were all corroded. a little deoxit cleaner and some scrubbing with a brush and it was all good to go.
didn't even have to jack the jeep up to do it. 'course it is diesel spring lifted and sitting on 245/75R16 tires, and i'm not spherical in the middle... yet! :D

Wow what an incredible find! 2008 was the only year for a six speed manual in the KK. That’s a rare beast.

can it be converted to a manual transfer case? those e-cases scare me.
No, they all have the electronic switch. But it has always worked for me and I never had any problem with it. There is a shift motor/actuator on the outside of the t-case that can be swapped out if there is ever an issue.
