20-110 degrees here, but mostly warm...not much below freezing actually. The a/c is probably on in the car 300 plus days of the year.

Gas Prices

Up near Toronto, Canada I'm paying

$2.84 US/gallon

That's with the 1.215 exchange and at 3.8L/gallon (paying $0.909/L at the pump)

Gas here on Westcoast is running at 1.049/L minus 3.5 cents at the pump thus averaging just over $1.00/L

85!!!! WOOHOO. Good bye SALT!!

Been 85 here the past couple of days. Yesterday wasn't bad, but today the humidity is up. Ran the A/C in the Jeep for about 30min today to make sure it is in good shape. All is good!!! I only use the A/C in the jeep if I have other people with me who bitch and moan about "it's too hot" or If I get caught in a summer storm.

Now the A/C in my house.....that's COMPLETELY different....LOL.

Saw something on TV two days ago about some gas station selling gas for $3.50+/gallon somewhere. I think that's crazy. The story was about some kind of protest that she's involved in.

#2 Diesel is $1.959 around southeastern Kentucky currently....The CRD just now has around 430 miles on the odo; it has 362 miles on the trip odo that I reset every fillup. As of right now, I have about 2 needlewidths past the 1/4 mark on the positive side, at 362 miles. My wife's '02 Liberty Sport 4x4 3.7L gas would barely make it to 270--280 miles BEFORE the low fuel light would kick on; push it to 300 miles or so, and you'd be on the edge of walking soooon. If it's this great now, imagine how well it will do when broken in.

#2 diesel was $2.399 in Fort Collins CO last Friday. I bought B20 biodiesel for $2.459. A buddy found #2 in Cheyenne WY for $2.199, but 80 miles round trip for a 15 gallon fill-up doesn't seem quite right to me.

Since B20 is hard to find, I fill up when Miles to Empty is close to 100, and add about 15 gallons. So doing the math:

a 20.5 gallon tank,
@ about 22mpg,
~5 gallons left in tank @22 mpg = 110 miles

Seems about right. That's ~350 miles before I get the twinge to fill up - or 450 miles if I have the courage (and bladder) to push it.
