Not the mountains.
Without knowing anything else I'd take a stab at the wheels being out of balance or something driveshaft related.

Check rear CV on front driveshaft, boot drys up falls apart and dirt gets into the CV, then also rear u-joints
If both good then also ( if not tires since I assume that is one of the first things you would of checked ) then could also be the intermediate shaft on the right side starting to go bad

They reviewed all axes, gimbal, tire balancing, brakes good, new tires, new shocks, an additional fact is that revolutions vary slightly when is between 40 mph and 50 mph, this happens with or without vibration and also is more noticeable when the engine is cold or a little used, with much use vibration is little and sometimes nothing.

Is this a 4wd? If so I'm still with Tom in post #3. Did they look real careful at those front driveshaft CVs? That boot on the tcase end is recessed and real hard to tell if it is cracked and drying up.

Check the temperature of the U-joints after a drive. If hot, replace them. I had the same symptoms when my U-joints were frozen from one way of motion.

A u-joint is the part that keeps the drive shaft and the yokes (which connect to the transfer case and the differential on our Jeep) together and able to move 360 degrees.

This is what the part looks like:

It could be torque converter shudder. How often do you service your transmission? Has the right ATF+4 always been used?
