Upgrading 05-07 fog lights

I recall reading somewhere on a KJ forum about upgrading the stock driving lights in 05-07. Some how to make it able to accept a brighter bulb.

Anyone done anything like this? link?

Im trying to brighten things up as much as I can without being a nuisance.

Not sure about the 05-07 because it's a plug-type of assembly. The 02-04 have simple twist-in lights that CAN be upgraded even with the stock light assembly (at the cost of a melting plug, sometimes). This is what I've learned from others on here. (I haven't done the upgrade on my truck. I'm still toying with the idea).

Anyone able to shed more light on this?

X2! HID's are awesome, and they draw less than the stock halogens.

found the lights and spare pig tails for $40.00 AAP.

might get around to doing this....
