TPS question

Been living with a spare tire TPS warning...last time I filled the tire, it was low again the very next day so I have been assuming its actually a tire problem.
So the kid has her driving test today...I told the wife to bump up the spare to 40 pounds just to get her through the morning without the warning.
She reported back that the warning was still on. She checked all the other tires, no problems.

So does the the TPS trigger if pressure is too high? Or do I have a sensor problem?

The system reads the psi in each tires and they can not be but 2-3 psi off(in most cases) so yes 1 tire with alot more psi then the others will turn the light on.
