If you buy the hooks new you can skip the first couple of steps. That strange looking bolt that looks like a "W" is ment to go into one hole, then loop over and come out the other with ease. You can easily see everything when you look under the bumper.

The only way you would need to take the grille and bumper off is if the hooks came from a KJ that had them installed while it was at the factory. B/c then they wouldn't come with the "W" shaped bolt. They would have regular straight bolt. Just take you're time with putting the hook up the W bolt you won't push it up in the bumper.

I installed mine in 20 minutes. If I find my instructions that came with them i'll Scan them and post them.

I always thought it was an "M" bolt :shrug:

I normally refer to is as the "M" Bolt but the instructions on the link above call it a "W" bolt. So I was trying to avoid confusion on the name of the bolt for him.
