My 03 Limited is throughing a TPS sensor error code. I'm planning to install a new sensor, but just wanted to check:

Is this a case of pull out the old, put in the new and your done? No adjustments? My geo's TPS requires adjustment to work right. If it does require adjustment, how do you go about doing it?

Finally, could this be caused by some other issue other than the sensor, that I should look out for?

Loosen two screws, unplug, plug back, screw on.
No adjustment necessary. Immediate fix.
When mine went bad I found myself cruising at 4000rpm without being able to shift up (jeep couldn't properly sense the throttle position, therefore could not adjust the transmission). Went to auto zone, picked it up and fixed it in 5 minutes.

Before you replace it, just fiddle with it, it may have come loose or came out of its place, see if that fixes it.
