Hi all,
I'm new here. I own an 02 Liberty Sport that I'm very happy with.
Today I experienced a problem that I've never experienced before.
When I slowed to a stop in my driveway (level, paved) the vehicle
seemed to lurch forward to the point where I had to apply heavy
pressure with both feet on the brake pedal to bring it to a complete stop.
It seemed as if the accelerator increased a little as I was braking.

Just like the feeling you get when you press slightly on the accelerator
while holding the brake pedal down.

Has anyone else experinced this? Is anyone aware of this being a
subject of recall? Any suggestions?

TIA,
57GT O:) [/img]

Yeah, I did that one time when I was wearing my big boots. Just need to be careful.

It's also quite possible the floor mat is jammed up under there. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen it happen to somebody on here, and from time to time my rubber mat slides up and catches the gas pedal.

I think you've hit the nail on the head. When I got into my Jeep today I
took notice & realized the mat was folded up under the brake pedal.
That's what I get for putting a second mat over the original one.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened.

btw, how do I post a pic on here?

To post a pic, you have to host it on a site first....i'm a fan of http://imageshack.us/ Once you have it hosted, take the link that's labled "direct link to image" and copy it.

Then on here, right below the subject line of a post your making, click the Img button, paste the link to the picture, and click the Img button once more.

So it will look like this
