Strange question please bear with me

Please help me familiarize myself with our transmissions and transfer cases.

Is there an electric pump in either one to help lubricate or are they both splash lubricated?

I have a reason for asking but I'm curious to know first

As sig says I have command trac and nsg370 which is 6speed manual

Don't know about the trans, but I don't think there's anything electric about the tcase other than the sensor up top.

Your t-case(applies to all KJ's regardless of t-case) does have a small mechanical pump.

The auto trans has a mechanical pump,driven by the torque converter.

The manual trans are all splash oiled like the diffs.

Awesome thanks guys. I had battery troubles this week since my KJ still had the original battery in it and also started hearing a weird noise in the driveline this week. Wanted to see if they were connected but must be a coincidence.
