So. I get this squeak when I'm driving. Almost sounds like a belt squeak but everything seams tight and the tensioner seams tight. There really isn't a thing that sets it off. It happens on or off the gas. I'm not sure what it could be. I have noticed that I have a rear driveshaft u joint that is getting loose, could a u joint cause a squeak like this? It's driving me nuts so I need to find out what it is.

Yes if a rear u-joint is bad enough it will squeak squeak ......etc all the time I can hear one of those clear across the parking lot. IF you have one you know is bad start there, needs done anyways

It does need to be done either way, that's true. Plus they're pretty simple (unless the Liberty is different for some reason) and cheap.
