Should i replace the timing chains on my 3.7?

So im putting a little cash into the 04 and have been searching for some info about timing chain replacement. I found it stated quite a few times that "the chains will outlast the engine". Well, my 3.7 is about to hit 420 thousand miles, so I think thats a little more than the average mileage.

So my question is, should I go ahead and wait on replacing it, or should I keep on researching until I find some instructions?

Are you having any issues with them? Are they causing any performance issues? If not I would leave it alone, If it ain't broke don't fix it lol.

Agreed. When dealing with older engines they can get cranky when you start poking them too much. Unless it is a problem I would say wait.

If your rebuilding the motor, then yes since you'll have it apart already. If not, then no, if it's not making noise just leave it be.
