Driverside LBJ is making some noise. No play, but it needs to be replaced soon.

Moog the best? Or AC delco? How hard is it to replace? It looks like you take the knuckle off then press it out. Does one of those C clamp style ones work or am I better off taking the knuckle somewhere to get them pressed?

Thanks!

Moog works. Definitely need to take the knuckle off. Had a mechanic buddy do mine though cause my table clamp couldn't hold the knuckle still. Make sure you press it out the right way. I think it presses out in the direction of the "top" of the LBJ (towards the boot/ball) meaning you have to press on the stud. But don't quote me. It's been a while. Sure a shop won't charge you much if you bring them the knuckle and the part.

That's what I'm leaning towards, nothing ****** me off like playing with those kits for like an hour and a half and learning the KJ is different than everything else and the kit doesn't work. Lol.

If I remember right it's 2.8 hours to do both LBJ's,the cost of LBJ's(MOOG K3199's will run you $170 each t any shop),and then a alignment(wise choice for any front end repair) so $800 is not that far off depending on local labor rates.

You do need the special Chrysler front end adapter kit which is not part of the basic kits to get that one special cup needed to conform to the KJ's knuckle.
