So I have been looking to trim up my bumper some more. But to make this look decent when I do it I would have to trim up some of the unibody underneath. I have seen this done, but I am not sure if it should be done. I have posted a pic of what I am thinking of cutting off. I am also going to relocate the washer fluid bottle while I am at it. What is driving this idea is that I am going to try and go with the detour backbone system for a winch to keep the front smaller instead of a full front bumper. I am also curious if I can cut knowing it will be safe is there a certain amount that can be cut or certain things that should not be cut. Thanks in advance!

It will be fine. But don't just cut it off. Cut it long so you can cut down along the edges so you can fold the ends like the top to a box. Then have it wielded closed

Depends , can trim the bottom edge a bit but would not cut the whole thing off.
It will never look like a Wrangler or the BDS KJ unless you do a frame
just not a good idea to cut that much off
This is how I trimmed the one on the 04
