Prev Owner installed fog lights, OEM fog lights not working.

I removed the newly installed fog lights because of the crude install! there was no relay. they just forced a wire with a fuse terminal into the fuse panel along with a cheap switch and ground.
The relay for OEM fog lights is missing from the fuse panel. not sure its thats the correct location for the OEM fog light relay.

I still have to look under the dash to see what was messed up if anything.

any suggestions on what to check for in the Fog light circuit??

thanks

Give us a little more detail about the original installation.

I installed a set of OEM fog lights three years ago and ran into a few little quirks. It sounds like your guy didn't want to buy the new stalk assembly with the switch and did his own. Trace out all the wires to everything and let us know what is going where. :)

when you wrote "junction box" do you mean the fuse panel on the drivers door where you have to open the door to change the fuse?

Its a PITA to get to. Take out the two screws holding the bottom kick panel off. The relaysbare behind the fuses

thanks everyone!

I still have a lot to learn about these Libertys!

The previous owners wiring was so crude it pissed me off! then I thought I was missing a relay. The fog lights dont come on when the High beams are on. -turns out all is good! it was the nut behind the wheel :Insane:

I didnt pull the light control knob out to turn on the fog lights :emotions34:
