Over Drive annoys me

I went from a 00 Focus 5 speed (forgive me but 127k of no problems) to a 04 Liberty Sport 6cl auto...haven't used an auto since '89 so forgive my questions:

1) 1-2 second pause when stomping on it with OC off or on--normal or not?

2) Highway speed cruising (60 mph) and hitting the gas normal produces a pause unless I really hit the pedal which bring me to 4k rpm's...unless OC is off.

3) OC off is fun..210 horses rule...darn $4 a gallon gas

4) exhaust sounds very good...reminds me of an 8 Cyl

2. Yes, If you are in overdrive also normal.
3. Yes, also normal.

What did you think you would actually get %100 on this test.

Yes to all (including 4 if you have flowmaster like some of us) I really hate the ****** as well --and recently I started turning O/D off on highway before taking curves or as I am taking a ramp to highway. It is always fun..

Well, no, jeep engine is not farty enough to squeeze like that.

You really need to have subwoofer or good bass on your system to hear it. Otherwise it sounds like crap from my camera.
