My 2004 Liberty sounds and feels like the REAR end bottoms-out when I drive on a street with broken/rough pavement, over railroad tracks, etc.

I suspect the original springs and/or shocks are shot.

Would you recommend these as replacements:

  • OLD MAN EMU COIL SPRINGS (PART #2948)
  • OLD MAN EMU NITROCHARGER SPORT SHOCKS (PART #60069)

Will I need any other parts?

You will need front springs and shocks as well, 927s for the front, if rear is bad fronts will be as well just get the complete kit and be done

I've already replaced the front shocks and springs in 2013.

But with what? How high does it sit ( middle of the wheel to bottom of the flare
The 948s will give you 2.5 inches of lift so just wondering
Plus depending on miles after 3 years could have some sag up there

I measured from the bottom of the flare (the green line at http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=43472 to the center of the wheel.

20 3/4 inches on the RIGHT FRONT (driver side)
20 1/2 inches on the LEFT FRONT (passenger side)

19 inches on the RIGHT REAR (drivers side)
18 1/2 inches on the LEFT REAR (passenger side)

Mileage: 59,000.

Ah, you've got the "California Lift" going on! Interesting to see that on a Jeep, usually see that on pickup trucks around here in SoCal.

I hit 21 1/4 on the rear with 948 springs, but mine is a limited with armor and I didn't renew the isolators which looked a bit crushed. If I cared about lift I would have replaced them.

That would give you a half inch difference front to rear which is similar to the stock configuration. If it were mine though I'd wonder a bit about using 2 different brands of springs and/or shocks. It may not be as predictable as a full set.
