Noise while shifting into reverse

I would first like to say this is a great forum and very informative. I just joined today and already learned alot about my jeep and how to keep it happy. I have owned my 02 Lib, 4x4 since 21k mi, it now has 94k miles, EVERY TIME I shift into reverse, since I bought it, she makes a tapping sound that lasts about 2-3 secs. Never happens again and is very consistant. Any ideas form anyone? Thanks
