Guys and Gals,
Long time lurker, first time poster. I bought a 2006 Jeep Liberty Renegade back in January with about 50k on the clock. The previous owner had put larger than stock tires on it, and apparently they were not too large when it was new, but now the suspension has sagged enough that the tires have started rubbing on the inside of the wheel well. I'm getting ready to relocate in a month or 2, and money is at a premium. The tires still have plenty of tread on them. I have decided that it would be cheaper to do a lift, than to replace the tires with the tires I want, especially since I'm going to be lifting it eventually anyway. I have already decided because of this board, that I am going to be going with the OME medium springs to perform the lift.
My question is this: Can I get away with just doing the springs, or do I have to do the shocks and struts as well. I know I'm going to have the struts out anyway, and I should just do the shocks, but really, I don't have that kind of money to do the whole she-bang all at once.
I look forward to your sage wisdom, and what a fantastic resource you guys have put together.
