Need help with my Engine

Just got a 2004 liberty 3.7 petrol auto and every time a speed up after a corner there is a crunching sound and the rpm jumps then stabilises. Anybody have this issue or know what it is?

Check the transmission. My RPMs jump every once in a while cause it slips out of 4th. I'm getting a rebuild on Friday. Have a transmission guy give you the CVI numbers and tell you if they're in or out of range.
