Need front pads- reuse rotors?

I'll get new rotors for sure. What do people like for pads?

Don't think I'll go with the EBC green stuff pads again. Didn't last long, dusted worse than OEM ones and didn't think the stopping power was any better than stock.

I liked my Green stuff pads but they were dusty! Stopped good. Drilled and slotted EBC rotors absolutely sucked. I've got some Monroe variety on now that are okay. No dust and stop well with the Napa premium rotors. Akebonos with Motorcraft OE rotors on the Ranger (Centric drums and shoes rear) and Powerstop everything on my Avenger. All seem okay to me. Just put a set of Centric Posi-quiet pads or whatever on front of my daughters 01 Outback with Centric rotors. Seem real nice after running through the breakin protocol.

I think I might go with semi metallics this time just to see if it feels better. What's a good brand? I don't think I need something like tjkj has (I don't have the good fortune of living in Colorado nor having one of the coolest jeeps in the world) so id like something that won't kill the rotors every oil change lol

Can't go wrong with these. I've used them before and I'll probably go with them for my next set on the KJ. Of course that's if I get it running before it decays in my garage.

i've had no issues w/ the regular non-ultra premium napa rotors either.

i think Leeann said her ultra premium napa rotors were made in china as oppose to usa.

I've had good luck with raybestos advanced technology I think its called, it's a semi metallic .
Made a huge difference in how our truck stops.
There may be better pads from other companies. I think it's Wagner gold (not sure the name, whatever advance auto sells) pads on the Cherokee and they've been very good as well.

Used autospecialty brake stop rotor and pads kit for the rear brakes on the commander when one of the calipers froze up. Honestly those brake well too.

I've had good luck either power stop evolution pads and rotor kits. I think the stop much better than stock. That's what's going on my car this week.

Proper break in is important as stated before. I can't believe the difference it makes.
