Gentlemen (and ladies),

My wife's '02 2WD (1WD, actually) is in dire need of shocks. However, I've never even been under a vehicle with struts so I'm not sure if I can just replace the shocks or must also buy struts.

I'm considering getting the Edelbrock self-adjusting shocks for her, as she doesn't want the truck to wallow, but doesn't need any load handling capacity either.

Thanks,

Rancho RSX17505 struts for the front. You will need to compress the coil to remove the struts. If you have a local auto store (pep boys, autozone, or Murrays auto) you can have them usually do it for a small fee. I paid $20 each to get them removed and new ones setup in the coil.

The rear shocks..hmm...Could you use the Rancho RSX17004? Though these are longer than stock, and many of us lifted liberties go with those in the rear.

Good luck!!
