When I bought my 07 used in May, one of the first things I did was had all the fluids changed. The overflow tank for the radiator had clumps of stuff floating in it that looked like cottage cheese. It was bad enough that the guy even removed it and scrubbed it out by hand. I shudder to think of what that stuff would do to the little tubes in the heater core. Needless to say, a good backflush and complete change and it still looks clean now - with plenty of heat. I'm guessing that the previous owner (who generally took good care of the Jeep) used the wrong stuff at some point. I'm glad it's out of there now.
