Hello-

I am getting my first Jeep (05 Liberty Sport) in about four weeks and am enjoying crusing around the Forum.

I want to mount some lights on the bumper, Renegade style. Do I have to remove the bumper to do this? What is involved?

What lights would you recommend for on-road driving?

Hey, another thought-

Does it make any sense to mount lights directly to the grill? Seems it might be easier than pulling the bumper (if necessary).

I'm not familar with the mounting hardware supplied with the lights.

I am not entirely sure that the grill is sturdy enough for mounting lights. I would think that I would stick with the bumper, maybe add a brush guard or something and put the lights on it. But that is just my two cents.

yeh, the grille would be too weak i would think, heck the bumper also migh tbe too weak.
in any case, you might need to pull out the bumper just to make sure you mount it securely. it's not all that hard from what i have read
(between here, LOST and JU)

i would go with yoda, get like a bull bar and mount your lights there
as far as the type of light, ask the light master...Bennet....LOL
