Electric mirrors on 2004 Liberty: Both mirrors on my 2004 Liberty have 12.5 volts going to them but do not have enough power to move the mirrors. After hooking up the mirrors directly to the battery, they work fine with plenty of power. I assume there is not enough amperage coming out of the control toggle switch to power the motors. Has any one else gone threw this problem? I have the same problem/diagnosis on both of the mirrors.

First thought would be the switch. I have seen rain water get in the switch when the door is open or the window down in the rain. It can do some funky things to the switch. If you know how to bypass the switch try that first before buying a new one.

Both Left and Right mirrors pick up a common ground from the control toggle switch. It is possible that grounding point has gone bad ie. corroded or loose.
Maybe adding another ground may help?
