Il take some tonight. It's basically a grab bar with flat feet I want to mount to my front bumper. But it doesn't line up with the tow hook holes. Desperate at this point considering using an adhesive

An adhesive would be my last resort.

Its easy to take off the bumper but if you dont want too just get some bolts they use in drywalls and stuff that butterfly out them when tightened.

Either way until you bolt it to the frame it will be flimsy

Thing about the screws... is there might not be anything behind it. Still your best bet is to put a nut and fender washer on the other side

If you do use drywall anchors use the metal ones

Kayak's will work. These are great, too:

Molly Jack Nut

Don't let the price throw you - you won't need 100 of them. Get a two or four pack at the hardware store. ;)

So if I used a kayak or anchor would I first have to drill through the metal then use the anchor screw

The metal on the bumper? Just self tapping screws into the bumper if you can hit metal

If you don't mount it securely, it will wiggle and shake all over the place when you drive. Eventually it will break and tear half your bumper off just before you run over the whole mess.

Bolt it securely to the metal structure or leave it off.

If you do cob it on there, post pictures when it falls off. :icon_biggrin:

Also. Anyone know a cheap way I can mount lights onto the tube without buying those pricey clamps

A) Weld brackets to the bar to hold the lights
B) Check the hardware stores to see if they may have a type of hanger that would go over the pipe and could mount the light to it
C) as far as mounting there is some room between the cover and the frame itself, to make it look good and be tight I'd try and get a piece of metal or washers up in there

"Well Nuts" is two words. :killer:

Pretty good suggestion, though. :)
