Hey everyone, just wondering if a capacitor or fared cap is necessary for a single 10" Sub. Anybody running subs without a cap? And what are your experiences with subs and the lights flashing at night with them running? Thanks for any info.

I have one with my 12in MTX sub. Has a 400watt amp.

Lights dimmed kinda bad at night with just the head lights on. They still dim a little if I use the brights+hellas or headlights+fogs but I dont turn up the bass that high very much.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
No need if your using the correct size wire and a good battery.I run two 10" subs with a 750watt amp(4 guage wire, optima Yellow Top battery, stock 136amp alt)and zero dimming of the lights at night, even when I turn on all my lights, crank up my stereo, turn the heater on,and so on and so on.But the lights will dim when using my winch, but that's expected with something that draws over 450amps.
