Hey,

I noticed a little bit of oil in my air filter housing and was wondering why it is there, and what is the spongy piece of material on the right hand side (I assume it filters air before it goes into the tube that is attached to the housing)? Can I clean it, or replace if it is dirty? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Your PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) vents there. Could be a bad PCV valve. Small amount of oil I would think is acceptable. There's no issue in cleaning it.
