They got ever size you could ask for.Bc he used them on this truck hitch!

Except for metric.

I've been working on airplanes (C130 Hercules, Boeing 707 and 737, Canadair CL41A Tutor, Boeing Vertol CH-47 Chinook and it's lesser brother the Labrador, AirBus Industries A310/320, and McDonald Douglas (Boeing) F/A 18A/B) for the better part of twenty years and not once, ever, have I held a piece of metric hardware in my hands. Even the stuff built in Europe has SAE NF threaded hardware.

Anyways, back to the OP and his question. Get help, it'll be way easier, and you won't have to drink alone while reading this thread.

Bet it's hell since the US is really the only place left in the world still widely using SAE fasteners.***** having to have 2 sets of sockets and wrenches, granted metric is more widely used in the US now.

All the stuff at work is provided by my employer. Strick tool control policy. NO personal tools. All the tools get counted and signed for. And from what I've gathered, you have a bit of military background. A good chunk of the tools we use are specific to one task or one assembly only. There are 13/16" wrenches we use on the landing gear plaining mech that only get used there because of the style/type of fastener. Somebody in the engineering dept has a brother that makes tools!!

But, my personal tool box at home is chock full of Std and Metric stuff.
Standard on one side....................................................Metric on the other

That's why I used the foam cut outs. Everything fits into it's place and it's super easy to tell when something is missing. It's just a pain in the ass to add tools.:) Oh, and it's locked when I'm not within 15 feet of it.

I can relate but I am required to bjuy all of my own tools for work.

Below is just my socket drawer in my box at work.left is 3/8" drive, both metric and standard. The middle is 1/4" drive and specialty sockets. The right is 1/2" drive.

Nicely organized...

Some day i get a garage and then maybe i can do that... Right now i have 5gal buckets with tool liners in them, wrenches and screwdrivers in one, sockets, extensions and sockets in another, sockets in blow molded cases that hold them in order, one for standard one for metric. I mean its nothing fancy but hey it works. Without a garage and my workshop and tool storage in my basement a large toolbox just isn't practical for me.

Finally added a new air compressor, a few new air tools are in my future now.

It did do a job on my knees ... but wasn't too bad. ^%$*^$% around with the gunked up nutsertz caused me the most frustration! A pipe fitters brush worked wonders though.
