Hey... New to the forum... Have a 2004 Liberty... Bought it in part because I was told seats would lay flat... As you know, they don't. Working on doing a little conversion... Is it possible to remove just the bottom of the rear seats vs the entire seats?? TIA

It is possible but easier to remove the whole rear seat, well both parts and then unbolt everything
Why not just remove it all and build from there what ever you want

I was planning on using the back of the seat for support, also so I didn't have to build a platform...

But if you remove the bottoms , the back will not be level, you'll still have to use some sort of support to keep it level

I built a flat floor to sleep n the back in the 04 for a while
Set the front seats where I normally have them and built floor up to there
Then moved seats all the way forward and had more plywood that would fold down to cover that area.
Made for a nice sleeping area
