Remove the ****** pan bolts and carefully drop pan(lots of ATF will spill out, about 4-5qts so have big drip pan ready),the filters(one main filter, and one cooler line filter, looks like a regular oil filter) are easy, the cooler line filter is a screw on filter like a oil filter, the other has a retaining screw.Make sure you remove the main sump filter o-ring from the ****** and fully install a new one before reinstalling the new filter.Clean the ****** pan,put a bead of good RTV(ultra grey or ultra copper) and reinstall the ****** pan.Let the RTV set for a hour then add 5qts(since you have the 45RFE) and start the KJ.Let run for a few min and run through the gears and check the fliuld level, add as nesecary. The ****** takes ATF+4 only(you may use Amsoil ATF but that's the only alternitive),Valvoline has it now and can get at auto stores.DO NOT USE ATF+3 OR DEXIII!!!!!!!!!!! Bu the way you have a '02 KJ,there is no such thing as a '01 KJ.Good luck.
