Help identify this tube

So I went to go change the oil on my GFs 02 liberty today and when I went to change the filter I noticed this connection was just dangling and had dry rotted. It appears to be running under the motor, possibly into the transfer case? Got too dark for me to find out where it went. I do have a CEL for a P0455 now so maybe it's part of the evap system or crank case vent?

That is the front diff breather tube,attaches to one of the L/F coilover studs which I see that attachment piece is broken so just ziptie as high as you can get it.

You can also get that breather from the dealership.
