Got a new fender flair, but trouble

Got a front fender flair yesterday, it had the clips on it.. Went to push it on and 2 clip broke, it was like the clip would go in so far the the fender would buck-ell
and they would not go in furture... anyone else have this problem... hunting today for more clips

Old clip still in the hole, not aligned properly??

I bought 4 clips from dealer this morning no problems with them just one that cam e with the flair they won't lock in come right out of fender

First question. Why did you need to replace the fender?

didn't replace fender, someone stole the fender flair

So I'm thinking they didn't delicately remove it and probably damaged the mounting holes.
