Here, we have 2 versions of Wal Mart- regular and Super. The Supers sell tires, and does oil changes in addition to a complete grocery store...

The regular one has just chios and drinks (including beer:D), but does not sell tires or auto services......

Same here. All the Wal Marts around here do oil changes and sell tires, just no good tires compared to an hour south of the border.
That and no beer here!
24 bottles of beer sell for $31.00!

Ya ya, rub it in!:D

Ok, whice tires should I buy?
Goodyear Wrangler MT/R
Hankook Dynapro MT RT03
Kumho Road Venture MT (KL71)
Toyo Open Country M/T

Anyone here run 255-70-16 Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's?

If by MT/R, I hope you mean the one with Kevlar. I read a GREAR review on them, go for these....

Out of those 4 choices, I would vote for the MTR's especially if it's the new one with Kevlar.

Ahhh....US Walmarts.....the only place where you can buy tube socks, snow tires a BBQ, get a passport pic taken and beer all under the same roof.......:p

I'd go for the Toyo's if it were me.

You forgot a bike, lawn mower, TV, laptop.....:p

The Toyos would be my second choice.:)

I've always been a fan of Hankook tires and Goodyear.
If I drive down to Wal Mart in Tulalip,Washington State. I can buy MT/R's for $180.00
Free installation, balancing, valve stems.
Even with State sales tax (6.5%) That works out to $191.70
and currency exchange of lets say 18% today. $226.21
Oh, and $1.00 State disposal fee
No duty, just tax of 12% $254.35 per tire X 5= tires $1271.75

The tire here sells for $250.00 each
Mounting, balancing, valve stem,
$5.00 Provincial disposal fee adds another $25.00
per tire. =$308.00 per tire X 5=
$1540.00
That would save me $268.25!
Keep in mind, I am a Jew and $268.25 can be used for other KJ mods!;)

You are getting the pre-assembled kit right? That will make it a lot easier to install.

Hmmm....extra room eh? I loved BC when I went to Vancouver 10 or so years ago....almost moved to Kelowna.

Make sure you take lots of pics of the install.

Yes, pre-assembled front.
I'll use Jen's digital camera and go nuts.
Then I'll work on a "How not too!"
No, just kidding, my wife Jen insists on getting under the Jeep and getting her hands dirty!
She wants to learn so what the hell Eh?

Oh and Kelowna?
Nice, but it has gotten way to crowded and over priced now!
Houses there are less then here in Richmond, but still too expensive!
