so today i thought my new ignition switch broke again. but after taking it apart and messing around with it, it seems the cable attached to the button on the gear shifter is out of adjustment because the little button under the key switch will not disingage and allow me to pull the key out.
ive got around this by simply removing the tiny metal piece inside the setup, but it allows the shifter to be moved even with the key out of the ignition. this is no big deal to me as old cars used to be this way.
but how do i go about adjusting the shifter cable so i can put this back as it should be? heres some pics.
