Looked but didn't see this exact issue.
So as the title says, after sitting for over a year and finally getting it running again, the shifter is off by one. It will start in Reverse which it thinks is neutral. It will reverse in park and it will drive in neutral. There is no park. I have even unhooked the cable, moved it by hand, and counted the detents but it won't go into park, but the lever is in park. I'm guessing its something internal but where do I start?
This shift interlock seems fine as when the shifter is in park, the key comes out. just seems that internally the transmission is off by one.
