How do stateside GPS gadgets work? (I've been overseas too long; never seen one used stateside)
The GPS's here actually talk to you as you drive, telling you to turn here and there; warning you of upcoming radar cameras, too. I find that really convenient as you don't have to stare into a small LCD to see which direction you need to turn. Do these Garmin's do the same (or something similar)?
I noticed they sell the Garmin's in our military clothing store (they are useless here; don't know why they sell them) and thought maybe one day I'd get one before returning to the states.
