Looks good! Hopefully this kit will be successful since it makes the kj look so good.

What size tires are those?

Looks very nice but did you install the adjustable rear reaction arms? Your rear tire seems to be a bit close to the fender flare.

Nope, those are optional for the 4" & required for the 6". I would like to add them at some point, but I'm broke for now... and I still need skid platessad2.gif

JJ... 245/70 R17s. It will be a little while before I wheel it. Skid plates first. I think it will wheel better after the springs settle a little.

I can not WAIT!!!! icon996.gif

Somewhere between being sane and insane!

fat chance at that happening with those 450lbs rate springs up front. You'd need a ARB with a winch and that may not be enough,a CRD with a ARB and winch may loosen them up a little after a few years.Eiabach springs are very good at holding there spring rates since there biggest area is lowering kits and high performance racing.

oh
It's not as tight as it looks. I'll try to get a photo of me stuffin' it. There should be a decent iced over snow bank in my way tomorrow.;)

hah ok, let us see, otherwise it looks good, get some beef tires to stuff in there now :D

you are getting a lot of snow right now right?

Very nice!! That is exactly what I want my Ltd to look like.

Did you have to change or modify the cv joints any?

Yeah, The kit requires removing 3/8" from the cv socket cup. IMO buying new axles from JBA with the mod done by Marlin on a lathe is the best way to do this. From what I know, he offers two levels of axles: import replacement, that he offered to me at $135 each, or the JE Reels that are listed at $475 (I think that includes a $100 core charge)

So far no noises or problems.

There has been a good amount of snow, but it got so cold for so long, a lot of it sublimated. then we had two days in the upper 30's so a lot of it melted, then on the 3rd day it was back to -5 F. Good news is the big piles of snow that the parking lot plows make are good sized & rock hard.

As the axle moves up, it doesn't move straight up. It moves in an arc that moves it back a bit.

I do want to do tires in a bad way, but then I'm looking at new 16" wheels, the rear control arms, & new gear sets. I have about a year left on these tires, but then I'm looking for 32"s or possibly 33"s.

Ha ha, I don't want this to turn into a chemistry topic but snow(frozen water) cannot sublimate:^o :)

Okay, here is the "stuffed" rear, the bottom JBA bump stop is in full contact with the upper OEM bump stop. As I said, no issues as far as rubbing, but it looks to me like JBA stop is taller than needs be. Looks like it could go in another couple inches.headscratch.gif

Edit: on second thought, If I go 32 or 33, than the spacing looks about perfect... I'll leave "good enough" alone until I get to that point, then decide.

the problem wont be when the springs are compressed in the rear the problem will be when theyre not, the space between the tire and wheel well will be the least when the springs are in a normal state.

That's not an issue on this kit at at all. Between the tire being round & the front of the wheel well being angled, they don't come close. That's something I'll keep in mind when I upgrade the wheels though.

I took a photo of the extended side, but from a rear angle. I'll go get another photo later.

Here's the extended side. Again, the other side is stop to stop.

I found a good snow bank that I could use without angering any one. This was with the sway bar discos removed. I think the bump stops missed each other!
