Stupidest statement ThunderbirdJunkie ever made.

He MEANT anti-sieze is the devil when it comes to anything but SPARK PLUGS.

Ugh.

I'm not sure what you do for your income but I'm SURE of what you DON'T DO. :D

What has gorilla snot grease ever done to tbj?????:)

I have put it on gasket surfaces to keep them from sticking when we take flange apart next time. One of those was a surface about 3 inches wide. The dismeter was 15 ft. It took 2-3 cans every time.:D

No biggie, RedBone. I love discussions and they definitely help even when they go off on a tangent. Makes you think about things that you may not have thought about to begin with. And no, while I don't use a torque wrench, I never sit on the lugwrench until my eyeballs pop. I may compare what I usually torque them down to by hand with a torque wrench at 100 ft. lbs or whatever we seemed to agree to here. :D

For automotive applications, anti sieze ITBJHO has no place unless it's on the spark plug threads.
