Factory Fog lights but no Fog Light Relay?

    So, I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty Sport, with what appears to be factory fog lights. In running into a weird issue where they will take a minute to go on, flicker off, or turn off when I put on my high beams. My sneaking suspicion is that I have a bad ground or a short somewhere. But, I wanted to try my hand at easy fixes first: replacing the fog light relay and changing out the multifunction switch. I found the correct year image for the inboard side junction block and...I have no fog light relay! I put a relay in there and it changed nothing obviously, but it is weird to me. Any idea what could be going on? The fog lights look stock to me. According to my manual, it should be #10 on my junction block.

    The oem fog lights were only designed to be on with low beams only.
    There is a mod to allow both to be on .
    Don't have the wiring diagram at the moment . There should be a relay

    Is yours a Canadian Model with Daylight Running Lights?
    If so you will have a large relay in the top-left front of the Inside fuse panel (Junction Block). In this case there appears to be a Fog Light Relay according to the Wiring Diagrams.

    Non Canadian Models would appear to not have this relay.

    Have a look at the 2003 Jeep KJ Service Manual here.....section 8W has the wiring diagrams and you will find the Fog Lamp Relay by looking it up in the Component Index.

    My 03 sport did not come with foglights from the factory but I bought a kit from just for Jeeps.com out something like that, anyway it was an oem kit that connected to the multifunction switch and used the dash green light just like factory. The relay however was actually in the actual harness not in any block. Follow the harness a and see if this is the case for yours
