exhaust smell interior

I notice exhaust smell in stop/go traffic from vent passenger side, look at manual used the recirculate button (which is suppose to close main intake), but cannot drive with this on all the time. any possible fix?

You mean you are getting fumes in the cabin even when the a/c or heater is off?

Either you have an exhaust leak, or you need to tell the people in front of you to shut their engines off while they aren't moving.
