Long story short I have a 2005 Liberty, engine and ****** died so I got a working one out of a 2006 Liberty swapped the engine, transmission, and the pcm wire harness but now the obd2 says no link and the red light is on. It cranked over about 4 times and died each time than fully stopped cranking and now won’t crank at all. Checked the relays and fuses everything is fine even jump started the starter and it turned so it’s not the engine or starter. Please help if you can. Is the wiring different from 05 to 06? Any help is appreciated.

Is this a Gasser or a CRD?

You refer to a PCM which is for a Gasser as apposed to the ECM for a CRD but please confirm!

I would try using the original pcm wiring harness and if you find a different connector or extra (or less) connectors then there was probably a change in wiring or sensors/devices...

Did exactly that and now it works but one problem that I have now is that there is a 3 wire plug on my ****** that’s not on the wiring? Any help there?

Glad to hear the Jeep is running... Have you taken it for a drive? It's possible that the 2006 ****** may have an extra sensor for that year and your 2005 my not need it for your PCM to run correctly...
Was the 2006 the same drive train (2WD vs 4WD?) as yours?
