Where is the plug in located? I just got the build sheet on my libby and apparently it came with one. I like to travel to Colorado from time to time and I might be heading there this December up in the family home in the Mountains and I figured I'd at least get informed. I've never had one before being that i'm 40 miles from the gulf so yeah :p

In that old thread I never did post up any photos.

I made and extension cord so it was easy to plug in up front, and never have to lift the hood again, to access the block heater.

The plug outside now sits in the push bar rail. Oem Cap moved up front.

You really don't need the block heater unless it is super cold like -30C. A good quality synthetic engine oil makes the kj start easy at -15C, no problem.
Of course load test your battery before you head into winter zones.
