Due to KJ vandalism :favorites68:-screwdriver attempt to unlock my door failed on them.
Apparently it worked on the neighbors Toyota 94 pick up, as they got into that one.
I think with mine they knew it was alarmed, IDK but no window was broken.
Used New Mopar lock cylinder and had auto locksmith deal with re-key new cylinder and install, while I was having a 1hr breakfast this AM!
The original cylinder was badly damaged incl interior of cylinder. Key could not be inserted into that one anymore.

I hate thieves, even incompetent ones. I'm sorry this happened to your Jeep, Tim. :(

Sorry this had to happen to you Tim. Glad you got it fixed and the damage was confined to the lock and they didn't damage the rest of your jeep. Did your power locks still work though as it sounds like only the mechanical lock was damaged? Remote camera time?

I greatly dislike nasty people and hope Karma gets them ten-fold for all the grief they cause to others.

Well that *****! Glad you got it sorted and re-keyed the lock. Insurance cover the cost for you?

Thanks Dave!
Yes the remote electrical still opened the door, so I did not need to call a tow truck!
Would be nice to have a HD night vision waterproof camera and recorder at home. The costs can get up there tho.

Jason, not an insurance claim our min deductible is $300.
Lock cylinder from dealer & labor/re-key total was about $200.

Tim, you know those wild game cameras that you can get to strap to a tree? If you could find a secure place to put it.

Just a thought.

At least it's fixed now, and done correctly. Even if you couldn't get the drivers door to unlock with the remote fob, it'll unlock the left rear door and you could just reach in and pull up on the lock knob. ... ask me how I know... lol.
