Anyone still running one of those bracing rings on the intake portion of the front diff? I saw there was some discussion about sources for them and what not a few years back. Do people still run them? Any decent sources for Canada?

There is still one on the 04 yet ( on mine)
Basically all it does is keep some of the parts together if you break

Not really sure that it helps prevent breakage, like Tom said. I've seen people break the diff even with the collars. The ultimate in preserving the aluminum diff would be an ARB. Or avoid it and get a steel one. :D
