Anyone know if there is a way to "Canadianize" my 05 KJ CRD to add a Daytime Running Light feature? I hate having to turn on the headlights, and worse to listen to the bong when I forget to turn them off.

DTR

I wired my fog lamps to come on everytime. It was quick and cheap. To do it right you will need to remove the high beam relay, add the DTR module and get the computer reflashed by changing the vin number stored in the computer. This will take a dealer about 2 hours to do, if they will do it at all.

I dont have the fogs wired to come on but I turn them on every time I turns my lights on. It is now a force of habit, I dont even know I do it...Just turn and then pull.

In fact the other day when I drove my brothers Cherokee I found myself trying to pull on the lever to get the fogs on without even thinking. It also drove me muts trying to operate the windows. I am so used to the switch in the middle and his are naturally on the door. I dont think it will ever get old how many people get in my KJ and lock the doors to roll the window down.LOL

Unfortunately here, the police will ticket us for using fog lights if there is no fog. Personally, I've always liked the idea of using my fog lights regardless of weather, kinda like a personal touch when people see your truck but the police don't think it's funny.

Ya, use of fog lights when no fog present = terrorist. Profiling in action.

That's crazy. Fog lights aren't that bright. Now Bennett's lights would be blinding, lol. =D>

When I am out on a dark road, I just like having the extra light on the road. It's a habit for me too to just turn them on.

I guess it gives the Vancouver police something to do on those rare days when it isn't foggy. O:)
