so here it is
has anyone had a CV or rather the entire shaft replaced under warranty?
my driver side is outer is slinging grease all over the place
I patched it once a while back but that did no last
The joint is not bad ,no clicking or knocking even in 4wd, but the boot is bad for sure and it looks like the passenger side is on its way along with cracks in the front drive shaft boot

it is still under the 7/70 warranty for about 10K miles and 16 months
how readily do they replace the CV shafts?
will I have to fight?

the drive shaft is a non issue
it will be replaced with a shaft that has u-joints in it
mostly because I am sure it will make another 10K miles
this also depends on if I keep it or not

If the liberty has a lift and they want to they will deny your existence on earth and deny any warranty claim that is ever possible on anything you will ever own again.

Worth a try though! It really depends on the dealer.

Somewhere between being sane and insane!
Are you talking about the front driveshaft or one of the front CV axles?

From your post you don't make that clear. If it's the driveshaft then they may not cover it,I doubt they will cover a CV axle also.

OK if this is the case
how hard are they to remove?
any thing like a TJ dana 30?
remove tire
remove brake
remove unit bearing
remove shaft
reverse for install

oh "driver side outer slinging grease"
this is the main problem I want addressed
