Past few weeks I've noticed a slight creaking noise coming from the engine. Only happens when cold. Here's a vid of it...you can hear it over the normal engine noise. Easier to hear it towards the end but the vid is 8 seconds.

Thinking it's a pulley or something?

Mine makes a similar noise when I don't catch taking off in second gear right which is what I'm thinking it is as well. A pulley that is just slightly slipping.

If it is a pulley, best bet is to take a stethoscope to each one and see if the bearings in any of them are starting to go. That way you are more likely to pin point which one you'll need, IF that is the case. If not, hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge than me will chime in.

Sounds to me like your screwed. You can expect a piston to come flying through the hood in a thousand miles or two. If you'll get in it and drive slowly and carefully I'll bring a driver and $500. and meet you half way.:angels25:

How does a pulley "slip" I must ask?

The belt is little over a year old, but I have noticed one thing when watching my engine the harmonic balancer at the bottom rotates unevenly so I'm thinking I should be investing in a new one here soon.

I'm guessing you mean as in "out of round"? Isn't it a two piece with rubber isolator ring between? If so, yes it probably should be replaced.
